Welcome to my website! I'm Isabelle Liao, the founder of issi....liao. For as long as I can remember, I have expressed my creativity through fashion. I started to make clothes when I got my first sewing machine at age 10. Teaching myself how to operate the machine and create patterns allowed me to experiment with different techniques and develop my own methods. When I wore my designs, people often complimented my outfit and asked where they could find it. They would be somewhat disappointed to hear that they could not purchase their own, but were also amazed that I had designed and made the pieces myself. Eventually, someone asked me if I could make her a Floral Frock, and I thought, "Why not? If I can share my designs with people in such an intimate way...why not?", but also, "Wow, someone else would really want to wear my clothing!" After receiving several more commissions, I decided to create the issi....liao. website as an easier and more widely accessible way for people to view my designs.
